Gina's arms enveloped his neck, her face nuzzling into his shoulder. Ricky realized that it was Gina's hugs he had missed the most about their friendship. They made him feel safe, like no one else could.
“I missed you, too, Ricky,” she whispered against his neck, her words sending a warm, comforting sensation through his body. She missed him. He inhaled her scent, wishing it would linger with him forever. She pulled away, her eyes dangerously close to his, before she walked out the door.
