“What do you think Sykkuno sees in Minx?” he asked, later in the day. The blades of the fan spun, slow and hypnotic, circulating the midnight autumn breeze.
Toast twisted in his bed, turning to face Corpse incredulously. “Have you seen Minx?”
“I mean” said Corpse vaguely. He rolled onto his side to face Toast. “Is that his type? I have piercings, I have tattoos. I once had blond hair…is it the accent maybe? You think Sykkuno would like Jack?”
“Holy shit you have a crush on Sykkuno” said Toast, incredulous.

She’s happy that she got the artist’s residency, of course- who wouldn’t be? A year of living in one of the most picturesque coastal areas in North America, all-expenses paid, paint and canvasses provided. It’s amazing. It’s a dream come true, and it even comes with a cute little cottage next to a historic lighthouse that Shane’s been dying to paint ever since she saw the application brochure.
So, yeah, she’s happy about it. But not happy enough to get over the burning pit in her stomach when she finds out she has to share it with Ilya-fucking-Rozanova.
Or: Shane and Ilya are up-and-coming artists who get awarded a residency. Together. Which would be amazing, if Rozanova and her paintings (and her stupid, beautiful face) didn’t get so far under Shane’s skin.

Summary
When a fast-moving virus begins tearing through Marley, Levi Ackerman’s only priority is getting the children—Annie, Historia, Armin, Eren, and Mikasa—and Carla to the safety of Eldia before the borders close for good.
He hasn’t lived with his husband in years. Erwin chose duty and a fragile hope for reform, while Levi built something quieter on his own, for the children and a little bit for himself. Now the government is falling apart, corruption runs amok, and Erwin is racing to meet his (ex?)-husband and their kids at the last ship still willing to sail. As chaos breaks out, survival forces a reunion between Erwin and Levi, and old wounds resurface. Levi must decide whether saving their family also means risking his heart again.

They've carved out a life here, together. It's simple, and it's enough: a little house, a garden, and two former comrades, haunted by old guilt and buried ghosts. Here in their pastoral quiet, the memories cannot hurt them, even if some scars never healed quite right.

I need to know what you’re keeping from me, what you know, what happened, I need to know, before it happens again or I find out you’re lying to me or you’re not who you say you are, if you if you killed all those people, I need-” His voice continued until he ran out of breath, dropping his head down as he tried steadying himself again.
[ Sykkuno is looking for an Earth 2.0. Corpse is the last survivor of his crew. There's something off about this planet. ]
