Summary
As a beta, Mydei pays little mind to the nonsense happenings between alphas and omegas. He cares little for their grievances over scenting rituals and grumblings over markings. However, with his people begrudgingly settled in Okhema, he is forced to confront them. Even worse, his people take particular issue with Phainon's presence around him, and insist for him to keep his distance.

Mydei is an omega with a complex against alphas. Phainon never presents and assumes himself a beta. Over the years, their friendship grows strong and close.
So strong he plans on confessing to Mydei the summer before college starts.

“Ah,” he dryly replies. The little thing is easy to miss considering how many other decorations litter the poor doorframe. He swears a flash of light from a camera goes off.
“Well, shall we uphold tradition, Deliverer?” He smirks, ready for Phainon to laugh it off.
What he doesn’t expect is for Phainon’s face to turn a deep shade of red from his neck all the way to the tips of his ears.
“I-I’m not ready!” he stutters, and races off through the crowd, accidentally knocking into Hyacine.
or; Mydei ended his six month old relationship because of his lingering feelings for Phainon. He assumes his friend is straight, but Phainon plans to confess at the New Years Eve party when he hears the sudden news.
