Summary
Vi Lane doesn't think anything of it when she meets Caitlyn Kiramman at a night club, the two of them hooking up that very same night. She doesn't think anything of it when just a couple days later, the two of them bump into each other at the grocery store and Caitlyn invites her over for dinner. From there, Vi's life is suddenly flooded by Caitlyn and the two quickly rush into a relationship.
Caitlyn is rich, beautiful, intelligent, amazing in bed, and overall too good to be true. Vi thinks she's perfect. But soon enough, the cracks in the foundation begin to show. Caitlyn has a possessive nature and a jealous temper but still, Vi doesn't think she could be capable of anything bad or dangerous.

Vi scoffed and stomped forward, the gravel crunching beneath her feet as she approached Caitlyn, who looked up at her with an empty, disinterested expression.
She stopped right in front of her, chest puffed out, voice dripping with venom.
“Good lord, Kiramman, maybe pace yourself for once. What’s the plan? Smoke yourself into an early grave so we don’t have to deal with you anymore?”
Caitlyn’s head jerked slightly, her features a cool mask of indifference.
“Though I am flattered by your concern," she said icily, taking a slow, deliberate drag from her cigarette, “I assure you that I am perfectly capable of handling myself, thank you very much.”
“Oh, yeah? Is that why you’re here?”
Caitlyn slightly perked one of her eyebrows. The look on her face made Vi immediately feel incredibly stupid and childish.
“No. I am here to smoke a cigarette. In peace. Why are you here?”
