Ever since he was twenty-one, he had wanted to confess the jarring truth he held in his chest like a hot stone. His thrill-seeking did not end with the track, he craved that particular violence only Max could coax out of him. He wanted to say he would burn the whole world down if it meant he could have Max’s hands on him, all over him, brutal and violent, that he was an addict with a face and super license and a blind, foolish faith in ruin. He worshipped the bottle and the dick between Max Verstappen’s legs that he has never quite been able to get his hands on. But that was religion, wasn’t it? Watching it all slip through your fingers like sand, fleeting moments where it may have been there, or maybe you dreamed it. Hallucinated it. Maybe a prophetic vision. Blind trust in something you would never understand until you were dead.

Kimi’s sleeves were pushed up just enough to expose the fine bones of his wrists, the clean line of tendon and vein beneath warm candlelight. He tipped his glass back, throat working once, twice, and George felt something low and unwelcome coil in his stomach.
George tore his gaze away so abruptly it made his neck ache. What the hell is wrong with you? He felt dirty for even noticing. Kimi was—what? A fucking teenager? His age ended in -teen? George had known him when he still had acne and braces. When he needed help finding the simulator room. When he’d looked at George like he was something untouchable, something to aspire to. George had no business, no right to objectify the poor boy. It was despicable to feel any ounce of attraction to a teenager, someone he had watched grow, form into the man he was now. George was a very bad man.

“You weren’t much for clubs and hookups,” Lando corrects. “You will be. It’s a whole new world out there, Oscar. And it’s fucking awesome. I’m gonna show you. You won’t find a better guide to the single life than me.”

“Aw, why not?” A whine tears out of Lando’s mouth. His lips even form a little pout. “Please, Osc? You were such a cute kid! I want to see what cute little Oscar collected.”
“It’s not just from when I was a kid,” Oscar tries. “I mean, there’s stuff from school and karting and stuff.”
Lando scoffs a bit. “Ok, well, your mum sent it, so I know there’s not like your weird hentai in there or something. Well… maybe if she’s cool with the bottom eyes. But still, I wanna know what teen Oscar liked too.”

Summary
Max just wanted — for once in his damn life — for this to be a normal, quiet, professional dinner. Just sit at the table with his colleagues, exchange a few polite words, pretend nothing in the world mattered but Formula 1. That was it. That was all he asked.
But no. Of course not.
Because George — George, the infuriating, walking embodiment of everything wrong with his life — just had to be there too. Like always.
And as if being the most annoying rival Max had ever had to deal with wasn’t enough, he also had to be that kind of boyfriend. Shameless. Handsy. Completely incapable of keeping his damn hands to himself, of stopping with the teasing even in front of everyone, of giving Max even one single second of peace.
It was like George existed solely to test his patience, to tear down his walls brick by brick — and no matter how hard Max tried, he couldn’t for the life of him decide whether he wanted to kill him… or just give in and let him have exactly what he wanted.
