Summary
The night stretches outside, and Lestat starts tracing lines against Louis’ thigh. It’s tender at first, only a faint touch. He watches— eyes intent on Louis’ face, looking for his reaction. Then he cups him on top of his pants.
Louis stops him with a gentle hand on his wrist.
“Not tonight,” he breathes. “Soon. But not tonight.”
Lestat eyes him with confusion. “Why?”
Louis answers with a knowing look and a sweet kiss. Their lips meet so softly, so gently, it almost makes Louis cry.
“Because you don’t need to please me to be loved,” he finally says against Lestat’s mouth, heart on his throat. Lestat freezes. “Let me hold you.”

Summary
“The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock,” Lestat says. He opens the book with his free hand.
Louis feels his voice roll and rumble through his chest, and he nuzzles his face against it, trying to press himself right between Lestat’s ribs.
Lestat holds him tighter.

Summary
"I didn't know," he murmured, hand coming up to the old-fashioned tie at the neck of my linen shirt and pulling it loose, "that it could be like this."
I swallowed hard, and tilted my head away from him, baring my neck. I could feel the pulse of my preternatural heart through my veins, each beat sounding the word: yes, yes, yes.

Set during Merrick in Chapter 24, after Louis is brought back to life. This is Lestat's narrative of the blood sharing scene that we/David don't get to see.

Summary
Lestat waits for Louis to continue, and when he hears nothing more, realisation starts to hit.
He looks at Louis’ feet, the back of his ankles pressed against Lestat’s thigh, and places his hand on Louis’ leg, runs it down until it wraps around Louis’ ankle, gently pressing over the flesh, the pads of his fingers stroking the skin.
“Louis,” Lestat says, quietly. “You still have them.”
Or: Louis and Lestat talk about the rocks.
