    I started this expecting it to be a lot more titillating and salacious, but got emotionally invested instead. (Should've paid attention to the whump tag!) I love this author's exploration of a violent matriarchal drow society and what that might look like - made me think of Ust Natha from Baldur's Gate: Shadow of Amn in such a good way.

    God-tier writing. Had me at P. G. Wodehouse, Saki, and Jane Austen and did NOT disappoint. Just an incredible work, and I love how the author incorporated fan art. Just love upon love and I love that too. I reread this whenever I need to remind myself what a slow burn looks like. (Answer: slow as hell! But worth the wait.)
