He smiled back at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Right back at you, Dr. Mohan. Dana got to you too, didn’t she?”
“She did. It’s the first time I’m not working the holiday shift since I started at the Pitt.”
“I know.” He said it so quietly she had to strain to hear him before he cleared his throat and continued, “Let me guess, she recommended this place to you?”
Samira nodded. “Yeah, she said it was ‘the best place to spend the holidays and who knows maybe I’d be pleasantly surprised.’ ”
“She said the exact same thing to me.”
