“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Will lied, again. There was no way he was going to confess to trying to make his boyfriend jealous because of what happened earlier.
“Hm, I think it was. Interesting,” Connor said.
“No, not interesting at all,” Will said through gritted teeth. Connor just smirked at him.
“Okay, we’ll see about that.”

Connor discovers he’s ranked in Chicago’s Forty under Forty list and he receives quite a lot of attention from patients and other women he encounters. After one woman in particular attempts to ask him out, making Will jealous, he then attempts to make Connor jealous too by flirting with a student doctor. Connor, however, has his own plans on reminding Will who he belongs to.

“Con,” Will whispered, unsure if the man beside him was even awake.
“Hm,” Connor groaned. The drowsiness in his voice was apparent, but Will knew if he didn’t bring this up now, he would keep putting it off.

Connor stirred, turning to face his lover. “Ready?” He questioned.
“Yeah, I think I’m ready to tell people about us.”

“Con, I’m so sorry,” Will said, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. Then, the strangest thing happened. Connor pulled away from Will’s grip and took a step back.
“I think we should call it a night. I have an early morning.” His words were cold and sharp, and Will took them like a dagger to the heart.
“Oh,” is all he said in response. He took a further step back. “Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow, I guess.” Will didn’t stick around for an answer, turning around and racing down the street to the nearest train station, leaving Connor standing alone outside his building.

Will and Connor go on their first official date. The night seems to be going perfectly, until they’re interrupted by Mr. Rhodes, Connor’s father. This causes Connor to blow Will off, ignoring him until Will finally corners him in the ED and demands answers.

Will finds out a friend he grew up with on the Southside is gay when he's admitted to the hospital after a hate-crime attack. Will gets a drink at Molly's after work where he is met by Connor. The pair talk about Will's friend, then Will catches Connor staring at a random woman and gets jealous. An argument ensues and the men find themselves in an alleyway behind the bar, where Will finally gets what he's wanted all along: Connor.

Mike had no clue where this was coming from. Had Will noticed those stray glances? Did he already know his secret? Was he messing with Mike by doing the stuff he was doing? He had so many questions about Will and then he had the audacity to say that Mike was acting weird.
