Summary
Roman and Dean have never quite gotten along, never quite fit together, and maybe it's because Dean's an inch too tall to be so thin, and maybe it's because Roman's always been somewhat hard to read (and Dean, too, and both of them show everything but the truth on their faces), and maybe it's because they've never really talked. But there had never been much to say, until there was never anything said, until they were forced to fill that void with meaningless noise, waiting for the pain to begin to scab at the edges.
(A series of scenes of a roommate AU where Seth and Dean have known each other since middle school and take on Roman to cover the costs of their small but somewhat costly house, Dean struggles with his mental health, and Roman is forced to reconsider what he values.)

It always started with a knock on the door. Dean Ambrose lived for that knock even though it hurt his heart every time he opened that door. Seth Rollins was going to be the end of him but he could never turn him away. He would rather die then never hear that knock again.
