Summary
König is a solitary man. A bounty hunter and anxious mess by profession, the only company he gets is from his cat Horangi back home. He believes that this is enough. That he can sustain himself entirely on violence, money, and the intimacy of a little creature, ignore the desolate silence that settles between contracts. For most of his life, it is enough.
Until a skull masked man aims a gun at his head and the world tips on its axis.
He enters that warehouse expecting to leave with the bounty’s head. In the end, he gets what he wants — with the addition of a gash on his neck, a desire long suppressed back to haunt him, and the image of soft, gunmetal grey eyes burned into his mind.
