Summary
Carmy had screwed up.
This wasn't news but it doesn't mean Sydney is willing to put up with his behaviour for much longer. If she chose to stay, he'd need to do better, she made sure he knew that.
The truth is that they both wanted to be in each other's lives but were they meant to be? What would happen if they were dealt an unexpected hand?
Would their partnership be able to survive anything and everything? Would their friendship?

Summary
Sydney takes a deep breath, not knowing what she is saying before she practically vomits out her words like…well, like how she actually vomited minutes ago.
“I’ll go back in there, but after that…”
She could say it; that Shapiro offered her a position. A position where she gets to have the first and final say, where, only after knowing her for less than a day in total, he knew just how capable she is, and trusts her. She could tell Carmy that she’s leaving after this shift, for good; doesn’t owe him an explanation…OR: How I would've imagined the Syd v. Carmy fight would've gone in season 3 (Feat. Sydney going absolutely feral, because I don't care if "Yelling isn't her style", hot girls have their limits)

Summary
The review is gonna be good. Don’t worry about that.”
“Don’t tell me not to fucking worry.”
Carmy bristles, steps back a bit. “I’m doing this shit for yo- for-for all of us. I told you this was how it’s done, you said you wanted to do this with me—"
“That’s when I thought you actually saw me, Carmen. When-when you listened to my ideas and took my opinions into consideration. I’m not your babysitter and I’m not your fucking yes man. You don’t have any fucking idea what it’s like to be me in this industry for even a day. This is it. This is all I have and you’re ruining it.”
**********
outside ever, carmy and sydney have the conversation they've both been avoiding. one conversation paves the path for more. and more.

Summary
End of service, clean up, lock doors, drop her home.
That's their routine. It works. It's good. It keeps him focused on what's important. This, his crew, The Bear.
End of service, clean up, lock doors. Out in the alleyway Carmy's already opening her door of his downtrodden Corolla, except Syd doesn't climb in.
She shakes her head and looks at him with those honey-sweet eyes. "My date's picking me up." Syd waves goodnight and climbs into a shiny Jeep instead.
Dumbfounded, blinding headlights reverse, until he's alone in the dark with a heaviness in his chest. Probably indigestion. Sampling close to every dish on their chaos menu did that sometimes. Supposed if he was quick enough to the chemist that a swig of Pepto should do the trick.
But it'd be far better to have his routine back. He needed it. He needed it back.
