No matter how much you love and no matter how much you cherish, everything else takes a back seat except ballet. “How was Musicon?” Perth pulls back to cradle his face in his hands, thumbs rubbing absentmindedly against rosy cheeks. Santa’s eyes are glazed over, unfocused as he stares blankly at Perth’s lips. Instead of giving an answer, he just shrugs. It was fine, fun in the moment even, but once that all subsided and all the adrenaline drained from his veins, the only thing left was an overwhelming desire to see his boyfriend again. Pond had laughed at him, called him a sucker, but none of that mattered; instead of taking the extra day like everyone else, Santa booked the earliest flight he could find from Changi Airport to Suvarnabhumi, desperate to get back home. He wasn’t even expecting Perth to be awake, more than willing to just slide into bed with him and wait until morning.
But of course the night owl would be up late when he doesn’t have a schedule, and of course Santa no longer cares for the idea of crawling into bed and sleeping.
OR
Perth takes care of Santa in the best way he knows how.

“You did pretty well in class today.”
The younger man’s hand comes up slowly enough for Perth’s breath to hitch, and he adjusts the strap of Perth’s gym bag where it’s falling off his shoulder. His touch is teasing, fingers brushing against the skin that is left exposed by the stretched collar of his old band tee.
Then, as if it’s the most casual thing in the world, Santa adds, “You know, pilates is great for building strength. And it makes you really flexible the more you do it.” His eyes flicker upward just in time to catch Perth’s reaction, a glint of amusement in them as if he knows that he already has Perth wrapped around his pretty little fingers.
OR: Santa is a pilates instructor and Perth discovers he might have a thing for being praised.

Summary
It had been a couple months since they had broken up, several weeks since Santa had told Perth through choked sobs that he thought it would be best if they went their separate ways. They had been strained the last couple months of their relationship, with schedules so packed that it was hard to find any time to properly be with one another. They tried for months to make it work, but between Santa’s projects with JASP.ER and the new producing gig Perth had taken on, the magic of their relationship fizzled out, leaving them to argue with one another constantly over stupid shit that didn’t matter.
It ripped Santa apart slowly, chipping away at him bit by bit until he rashly decided to end things in a moment of weakness.
Even now, he still beats himself up about it. Even now, he can’t get over Perth.
It doesn’t help that Perth isn’t over him, either.
OR Santa and Perth make up on a trip to Phuket with their friends.
