The Others Press assigns relatively new hire Zosia to act as chaperone to their best selling author, Carol Sturka, on her upcoming book tour, which is a first for both of them. She's meant to keep her happy, on schedule, and on script. Should be easy. They neglect to inform her that a) Carol used to have a manager that did this before, and b) that manager was her wife. Her only-a-couple-months-dead wife. It's about to be the tour of a lifetime...

carol has been spiraling and isolating and finally gets drunk enough to snap and ask the hivemind to send her zosia again. the hivemind has an offer of how to convince carol that they love her.

This story developed from my first attempt at a one-shot. These are now small part stories that fit into the original story but are (at least in my headcanon) untold. I concentrate on the road trip up to the end of the book. I really tried to stay in character and worked closely to the book.
