Summary
Max looked to the side to find her eyes focus on a girl that sat down on the floor, her back against the wall. It is an eerily familiar appearance, one that she had definitely already seen before, only in pictures, and the missing person posters.
Max was speechless at the realization. She is supposed to be dead. Her and Chloe saw her corpse, right? “…You’re Rachel Amber.” She said softly, although more of a question than a statement.After discovering Rachel’s corpse, Max ends up trapped in Mark Jefferson’s dark room; She makes the shocking discovery that the corpse her and Chloe saw was probably someone else entirely; Rachel is actually alive. Shit ensues, And finally, Max, Chloe, AND Rachel get their well deserved ending - Escaping Arcadia Bay Together.

Most of them get a one-way ticket to the slaughterhouse, but sometimes, if the owner was really attached to them, they end up on some nice green pastures where they spend the rest of their lives.
I used to think that was the best thing that could happen to a horse like that. Now, I think that sometimes letting them go would’ve been kinder. A horse with a broken leg will be in unimaginable pain for the rest of its life, even if it spends it in luxurious conditions."
Young-il's face twitches, but he doesn't interrupt him.
He takes a shuddering breath. "When we first spoke, all those years ago, you said that players were like horses. Is that why I was spared? Because… I was your favourite horse?"
