Alzò lo sguardo e lo specchio gli restituì i tratti di un uomo che sembrava essere rimasto dalla parte sbagliata dell’adolescenza, di un’avvenenza sfacciata, ma anche un po’ sbattuta. Un movimento sullo sfondo catturò la sua attenzione. Si girò, ma non c’era nessuno. Tornò a fissare lo specchio e, appena sopra la sua spalla, scorse il ghigno di suo padre che lo guardava con malcelata soddisfazione e altrettanto disprezzo: «Che cosa hai fatto, figliolo?».

Arrivati al bancone dell’accettazione Steve prese i fogli che gli porgeva l’infermiera e li diede a Danny perché li compilasse. Danny quasi glieli strappò e cominciò a scrivere febbrilmente. Era un ospite abituale dell’ospedale e ormai conosceva a memoria i dati della sua assicurazione e non soffriva di nessuna malattia, quindi scorse in fretta le domande finché non arrivò all’ultima: “Soffre di claustrofobia?”.
Posò i moduli in grembo e si voltò verso Steve: «No, io non posso farlo». -

“Is that what the kids are calling it these days…” Harry sniggers before he trails off, but seems to buy the story as he steps through the door.
Dick hadn’t thought his blush could get any deeper, but judging by the way his hands are suddenly hot and dry, he was wrong.
Or, 5 times they got caught in a position that wasn’t what it looked like and one time it definitely was.
