Ever since Lovino was a kid he has wished that he could be like his brother Feliciano. Everyone loves him, he's perfect. It might not be said out loud, but deep down Lovino knows the citizens of Italy agree. Especially because the King makes it clear that he has a favorite.
And then Lovino turns eighteen. His gift is a personal knight. One that is loud, cocky, way too obnoxious and worst of all, German. It might as well have been a personal hell from God himself. But the longer they are forced to be around each other. Something happens, Lovino starts to care more. The idea of parting with the knight sickens him. Because when he's with him...he feels seen.
At the same time rumors are being spread around Italy when the King of Spain decides to spend a few days with the royal family out of nowhere. Leaving Roma frustrated and on edge. Putting his sons against each other and making sure to keep a close eye on Lovino.
