Summary
It hits him all at once, all too hard. The body on the floor. Red spatter under his head. Prompto’s face, waxy and white and motionless.
Noct hears the door bang into the opposite wall behind him from how hard he threw it open. There’s a ring echoing in the shower and his own ears that tells him he shouted something. His knees are zinging with the pain of striking the floor, hard and fast as he fell to Prompto’s side.
“Hey,” he yells desperately, seizing Prompto’s shoulders, then his head when it lolls like dead weight. “Hey, hey, c’mon—Prompto?!”
