If you are not a noble you are considered low and have no rights. The non-nobles are called "Dirts, who live in slums, trying to survive in a place with terrible diseases, constant rape, murder, abuse, hunger, thirst.
To kill, beat or rape a dirt is not considered a crime, because they are no human to the elite, just objects to do whatever with.
If a dirt want to have a better life, that dirt can offer himself up as a slave at the trading markets for other nobles. If a noble buys a dirt and makes him his slave, that dirt will get an ID and a name chosen by his owner. “Satoru?” The word rings, fuzzy in his ears as it whines like tinnitus, familiar and heart stopping.
‘I’m dead.’ He can’t even hear his own thoughts over the loudness of the world, staggering where he stands, eyes still fixated on the sky, on the sun. ‘I’m dead, I died, I felt my heart stop, this can’t be, it can’t-’
“Hey,” it comes again, a little more urgent than before, a little closer, another hammer to his ears and all the noise shrieking behind his eyes. He recoils hard enough to go stumbling as a hand reaches for him, covered in flesh rather than empty bone, tan and recognizable. Unbelievable.
There’s something wet trickling from his nose. Bile stings on the back of his tongue. The words dissolve into the rest of the white noise as he stares up at the blue of the sky, and tries to remember if he’d ever had a hallucination as bright as this.
‘I have to be dead,’ he thinks. Somehow, he isn’t.
Or: Gojo Satoru goes back in time. He makes a couple of changes for the better.

Suguru and Gojo face the aftermath of their battle. Suguru, now a cursed spirit, expresses regret for his past actions and wishes for more time with Gojo. Despite their strained relationship, Gojo is determined to save Suguru from his cursed spirit existence.
Regret, redemption, and the consequences of one's actions. It sets the stage for Gojo's upcoming journey and the challenges he may face in his quest to save Suguru's spirit. But maybe, Suguru doesn't want to be set free and stay with Satoru.
