“Has Masumi told you why we’re traveling across the seas?”
“No. She hasn’t.” He assumed that they were looking for riches like most pirates even though he hasn’t found any evidence for that during his time on board. He did wonder about it, but ultimately decided that it was none of his business.
Shuuichi chuckles. “She probably forgot that you are fairly new here. Most people are aware of our past. Have you heard about our parents?”
“The better question would be, who hasn’t heard about your parents,” Rei answers. “They are infamous all around the world.”
On the last night before they are bound to return to Tortuga after weeks away on sea, Rei finally learns what the Akai siblings are searching for on their travels across the seven seas. It might align more with his own goals than he expected.

Smiling, Rei sinks on his bed and lets Hiro fuss over him. He helps him out of his shirt and searches his body for more wounds. Rei is relieved when he only finds two more other bruises. Hiro worries enough already, proven by the ice he gets from the kitchen to cool the wounds although they will heal perfectly fine on their own. He waits until his friend is busy pressing it against the one on his back until he decides to confront him. “How long have you been sleeping with Rye?”
Rei has to deal with the fact that Hiro and Rye are sleeping with each other.

It was supposed to be peaceful now that Amuro decided to work in Poirot full time but of course that was just wishful thinking. Amuro Tooru, or Furuya Rei got kidnapped and now it was up to both Conan and Akai to get him back before it was too late.
