Summary
The first time Márk thinks, “I need to talk about this with Péter”, Péter is already dead. Fortunately, Péter planned for that.
After twenty-five years together, Márk finds himself facing a future he never imagined: a future without Péter. As the years pass, he learns that grief and love are rarely quiet; they arrive together in old photographs, empty chairs, forgotten recipes and familiar songs. They hide in election nights, first dates, film premieres and personality cults. They also arrive in increasingly suspicious acts of supernatural interference that suggest a certain former Prime Minister may be refusing to rest with anything resembling dignity.
Told across twelve years, this is not the story of a man learning to let go, but of a man growing older, surviving loss, learning how to keep living, finding joy again and discovering that love does not end when a life does - sometimes it simply changes shape.
