Summary
“You were asleep and you ___________. Right here.” Mike touched his finger to his neck just above his shirt collar on one side.
Will gasped as panic set in. It happened. One of his good dreams must've gotten through, which forced him to wonder if that was the 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 thing he did to Mike while he was asleep pressed against the man he loved. Large tears welled up in Will's eyes and rolled easily down his cheeks. It was over. This was it. Mike would never want to see him again.
“And I liked it,” Mike added with a sigh, still seemingly enthralled with the grass below them. Will blinked, unsure if he heard what he thought he heard.
“You 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵?”
“I liked it. I wanted you to do it again. Thought about it every day. Can't 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 thinking about it. Was nice.”

Summary
“I… had a crush on El. Remember?” Mike couldn't look at him until after he spoke, which was one of his tells.
“Okay. Why are you lying?”
Mike's eyes snapped open.
“I'm not lying!” he said, glancing away as he spoke.
“Yes, you are. You can't look me in the eyes when you lie. Plus, Max said to drink if you had a crush on someone for over a year and you drank. You only knew El for four months before you started dating, and you were only together for three, so it doesn't fit the criteria. Either you had a crush on her that whole time and after you broke up, or she's not the one you've had a crush on for over a year.”
Mike huffed in defeat, looking away.
“It's not a big deal,” he finally admitted.
“Then why lie about it?”

Summary
“Thank you for the roses. They're beautiful.”
“Glad you like them. Never gave anyone flowers before.” Billy smiled in her direction.
“Really?” Emily asked shyly.
“Yeah. Lot of firsts with you.”
“Never threw rocks at a girl's window before?” she asked sarcastically, knowing that couldn't possibly be true.
“No, I have. I just never left that happy after without a kiss.”
Emily smiled, turning her head in a futile attempt to hide her reddening face.
“There's more, though.” He glanced at her, savoring the sight of her strawberry stained cheeks.
“Yeah?”
“Sure. You were the first one to call me on my bullshit, for one.” He smiled at her, then turned back to the road, non-chalantly finishing his thought. “It was hot.”
Emily felt a rush of heat in her face and neck. She thought she might explode if he continued, but she also never wanted him to stop talking.
