“Must be lonely out in Paris if you talk like that,” Megumi drawls, dragging a cigarette from his lips.
Yuuji stands across from him — the boy who was once considered the love of his life — completely silent, unable to hide the pain from his expression.
The air in Tokyo felt oddly unfamiliar, the cold air spreading heat across Yuuji’s entire body. He feels a frost-like sensation creeping up his cheeks, and he doesn’t know if it’s the wind or if it’s the sting of Megumi’s ice cold heart.
Unable to form words, it seems, Megumi croaks out—
“Did you get your taste back?”
An AU where Megumi and Yuuji find their way back to each other, months after college, in Tokyo. Whether it is in London where Megumi spends his time running away from a feeling he is too afraid to name, or if it is in Paris where Yuuji goes to just forget about it all; their time spent back in Tokyo is enough to change everything.

Summary
It’s in the middle of scanning the last bottle of green tea that Itadori properly looks up. Eye contact with him is a physical, unexpected shock, a crunch of imaginary static snapping through Megumi and leaving his hands twitching at his sides.
"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.
