Rudo isn't one to want to commit suicide, he never has been, probably never will, right?
That mindset only lasted him till he realized he had nothing to distract himself with, nothing to occupy his brain with, and no one to rely on.
That last one isn't correct, Rudo just doesn't see it yet.
OR
Rudo doesn't have anything to keep himself busy with, so in the moment, he decides that in order to stop these miserable thoughts from messing with his head, he has to kill himself, to finally rest and be free.
But of course, nothing goes as planned. Who would've guessed?
