This never should’ve happened. Noelle shouldn’t have been forced to kill an entire city’s worth of Darkners. She shouldn’t have been forced to cast a spell that froze Berdly solid into a thick crystal of ice. Berdly shouldn’t be lying here lifelessly.
They can do something about at least one of these things. They need to get him to the hospital.

In the aftermath of Snowgrave, Kris rips out the SOUL lodged inside them and leaves through the window to try and fix at least some things. This includes shambling across the town to get Berdly, still-unconscious in the computer lab, somewhere safe.
Kris's terrible awful no-good very bad night; set in Chapter 2 but written with the insight obtained in Chapter 4 of Kris being the one to bring Berdly to the hospital.

Jealousy was a wicked thing, and Phil was no stranger to it. This specific type of jealousy was a sharp pain that refused to leave him be, and frankly, Phil didn't know how much longer he could take it. He would have to endure it, he knew, but that didn't make it any better. It made it worse, so much worse, but Phil would power through it. He would keep his jealousy close to his chest, and nothing would make it slip.
But of course, Phil could never have his way, could he?
Techno and Ranboo have been growing closer and closer every day, learning to heal with each other. Phil most decidedly was not learning to heal. After an argument long coming, Phil finally breaks, and it's up to Techno and Ranboo to pick up the pieces.

“I know how to use a security jammer, Phil,” Sneeg said, pulling himself upright by one of Phil’s earrings. “Stop worrying, this is gonna go great.”
“Of course it’s gonna go great, this is genius.”
“This is such a good plan.”
“Fuckin’ flawless.”
“Everything’s gonna go so well.”

Phil walks up to the altars to pick up his own stick (unenchanted, as plain as it gets) and spots Étoiles off to the side, rolling up his sleeve to check on his insulin levels before rolling it back down. “We eat one gapple each, yes? My sugar is low,” he explains as they both get into position on both ends of the tatami.
“Sounds good. You got yours?”
Étoiles laughs, summoning a golden fruit from his inventory and spinning it over his finger like the insufferable showoff he is. “Always. Autofeed off Phil, no cheating.”Philza drops by Étoiles' brand new dojo for a friendly sparring session, and ends up getting quite a lot more. Namely existential dread, the thrill of a good hunt, and the comfort of shared trust.

“It’s fine,” Etoiles says, in a tone of noble suffering. “I will face my fate. Not that anyone thought to ask me or anything, they were too busy with making this deal instead of concentrating on the questions, maybe, but no worries, no worries, I don’t mind. It’s good to be useful. I will be the most loser of the losers, I do not mind at all.”

Willow exhaled, resting her temple against the glass and closed her eyes. Hunter didn’t believe for a second that she would fall asleep, as her body remained coiled with tension.
“He just...” She whispered. “...wanted to see this world so much.”
Hunter could see it in that smile, in those weary eyes, hear it in her heavy voice.
Willow was absorbing Gus’s burdens to lighten his load. It was quite possible she was doing the same with everyone who surrounded her.
This left her own burdens neglected.
He understood how it felt to devote your entire self to the monsters that plagued the life of someone else. It withered away every fragment of yourself that belonged solely to you.
“Like you wanted to see the rain.” Hunter reminded her.
It must be a little bittersweet for Willow too.
(The kids' first night in Camila Noceda's home. A late night conversation between Hunter and Willow, a pair of insomniacs who aren't very good at talking about how all of this is affecting them.)

EVERYTHING about this is so, so, *so* well done. willow being there for everybody, hunter noticing and being the one to break her down but not until stubborn willow breaks him down as well, their mutual love for gus, hunter and luz SO angry but powerless to do anything about their situation. god. "What?" Amity blinks in surprise. "What could someone as sweet as Willow have possibly done to you?"
"Well that's the problem, isn't it?" Hunter retorts in a flustered huff, feelings he's been trying to tamper down for weeks spilling out of him in an inelegant rush. "She's just so sweet, and smart, and cool, and funny, and her eyes are like mint sprigs and her hair smells like flowers, and when she smiles she gets these cute little dimples in the corners of her cheeks, and every time I see her, I get this weird little spasm in my chest like I've been electrocuted and my heart starts racing and my skin feels like it's on fire, and it all started happening the day I met her and it's only gotten worse the more we've talked, and I'm kind of freaking out, okay? I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know what— what's so funny? Why are you laughing?"
