Megumi flips through the documents for the umpteenth time — like there isn’t a line he hasn’t raked over.
But that doesn’t deny the biggest glaring document on the page — a positive blood test for Hybrid Lyssavirus. He presses the heel of his palm against his eye socket; a bludgeoning pain transcends from irritating to debilitating.
For the first time ever in his career, Megumi is left answerless.
