Summary
“Yo, Crazy Devi!” someone shouts, and Devi breaks away from the kiss, squeezing her eyes shut. Paxton presses his forehead against hers. “Crazy Devi is kissing Paxton H-Y!”
“We can pretend they don’t exist,” Paxton says, nudging at her nose with his. “I literally have no idea who it is, anyway.”
“It’s fine,” Devi says, leaning away from him. She does not want to drop her hand, not yet, but Paxton takes it and turns her arm over, exposing her palm to him.
“You sure?” he asks, tracing one of the lines in her palm. She tries not to sigh, all girly and high in her throat.
“Yeah,” she says, “let’s just go inside. First period is gonna start soon, anyway, so…”
Paxton nods, then lifts her hand, pressing his lips to the center of her palm. “Alright,” he says, and pulls her towards him, draping an arm around her shoulders. “Can't believe you have me going to class on time, Vishwakumar.”
“Honestly?” Devi says. “I can’t believe it either.”

Summary
After the Sherman Oaks Winter Dance, Devi decides to have sex with Paxton for the first time over winter break, but must maneuver around social pressures, her watchful mother, and even sometimes her own brain. Unaccustomed to going against the proverbial grain, Paxton tries to figure out what it means to be someone's boyfriend. Meanwhile, Ben Gross is forced to come to terms with his true feelings.

Summary
Devi woke up abruptly, after a sharp pain shot up her back, as her baby girl kicked her twice hard in the back. "Ouch" she groaned quietly into her pregnancy pillow, trying not to wake Paxton and reach towards the night stand to grab her phone and check the time 4:45 A.M. I was way too early to be awake on a lazy Sunday. Yet, here she was wide awake with a pain in her back, her baby doing what felt like flips and her stomach growling.
