    Summary

    "Queerbaiting" refers to when a work of media, like a TV show, book, or movie, suggests that it will include LGBT content, characters and relationships, with the purpose of attracting members and/or allies of the LGBT community, and then refuses to follow through when pressed. Or, refuses to refer to it in any definitive terms, instead leaving it "up to interpretation". The process is harmful because it implies that LGBT content is not important enough to be included in works of media, except for, at best, in subtext, or at worst, as a joke or stunt to boost ratings.

    I, too, was drawn in by Robert Kirkman's "Daryl could be gay--oops! Never mind! We actually decided against that a long time ago, sorry for not telling you until now!" stunt, and so this series is my response: to write Daryl into as many raunchy homoerotic situations as I can. Join me in giving the world the queer!Daryl Dixon that could have been, and that it deserves!
