He pulls back the shower curtain, and she glances down at his chest on instinct. “Hi,” he says, sweetly.
She reaches out and touches his injured shoulder briefly; it always comes out looking red after hot water. He smiles at her and brings her hand to his mouth, kissing her knuckles. And then he blinks a few times, like he’s remembering what she said. “I ran into him in Australia.”
